Offbeat: These birds know how to rock, if somewhat unintentionally

  • Let’s place a bunch of random birds in a room with a couple of Les Paul guitars, and see what happens. And what happened was avant-garde goodness that some might find just a little amazing. Offbeat: Three cheetahs and an antelope sign a peace treaty … for now

  • In a world full of death and destruction, it’s nice to see predator and prey getting along. This antelope somehow got on the good side of three deadly cheetahs, and fortunately, they did it in front of someone with cameras. As a result, we have it encased in amber. source

Tech: Regarding the “real” iPhone rumors, they’re pretty darn good

  • camera The phone is rumored to have a five-megapixel camera, which would bring it into optical parity with the kinda-flopping Google Nexus One.
  • case Know the Apple Magic Mouse, the coolest idea for a mouse, ever? Imagine an iPhone case that works the same way. Blown away?

Offbeat: “Tape Measure Tricks”: Like Spiderman for home improvement

  • Super-goofy. Possibly fake. Definitely pretty dang awesome. This guy can use his tape measure to do just about anything, it seems. We’d like to see him get us a beer with it.
