  • Hey, wait a second. That’s not Steve Jobs’ Twitter account! Tell that to our friends at The Daily Mail, who used it as a basis for a story about Apple possibly recalling millions of iPhone 4s over the infamous antenna issue. It’s a good thing The Next Web noticed it and encased it in amber, or we’d never know how little they actually read Twitter before realizing not everything on Twitter is true. A tough lesson to learn. We learned it when we read somewhere that Nick Nolte died. source

  • That’s what a family friend told CNN. The former vice president has been in the hospital all weekend with atrial fibrillation, or an irregular heartbeat. This is nothing new for him. But he should be OK soon – his daughter Liz (a bit of a firebrand herself) says he should be out of the hospital and raring to go on Monday. source

  • A quote from an anonymous reporter • Who was caught on a hot mic during Sarah Palin’s speech at California State University at Stanislaus. The speech, which was aired on a local Fox affiliate, was very controversial due to the fact that Palin got paid a hefty sum at a school which is struggling financially (as well as being where her rider leaked). But the comments, which aired on TV, kinda topped all that. source

We thought it was brilliant commentary of the fair-weather nature of American soccer fans. This panel, which ran in today’s paper, basically confirms it. The New York Post is making fun of Americans’ anemic love of soccer.

The Food Network and Bravo personality will have to get in line, though – her suit is one of over 250 against the company. source
