Schmidt went further, saying she was woefully misinformed about policy issues and overly concerned about her political standing in Alaska on the day she had a key interview with Katie Couric. Despite this, Schmidt admits that if she wasn’t on the ticket, the campaign would’ve faltered even worse than it did. source

  • She’s on Oprah! Today was the height of the Sarah Palin-a-palooza, as the former vice presidential candidate went on Oprah to hawk her book. In this clip, she tells us how she really feels about Levi Johnston. She refers to him, disparagingly, as “Ricky Hollywood.”

  • “All-American Nobody”On “The Ed Show,” MSNBC’s liberal sorta-answer to Glenn Beck, Ed Schultz, refers to Palin as an “All-Amerian Nobody” while emphasizing her role in losing the 2008 election. Dude, you could’ve totally gone with “All-American Reject” there, too!

  • Annoyed at “Rogue”Some of the biggest targets of Sarah Palin’s scorn in “Going Rogue,” staffers working for John McCain in 2008, took shots at the former veep candidate on “Today” this morning. The mainstream press spin on the book: She’s just settling scores.

  • It was clear that Cheney’s doctrine was cast-iron strength at all times – never apologize, never explain – and Bush moved toward the conciliatory.

According to the colleague, Cheney was upset that, at some point, Bush took to heart public criticism and stopped listening to his advice. While Cheney has spent much of the last few months in the public eye, taking Barack Obama to task on his foreign policy, Cheney’s been working on a memoir airing the dirty laundry between the two men. Expect it to be out in 2011. We hope there’s multiple chapters about the time he shot that dude in the face. • source
