Two human rights groups reportedly have the goods on them. A year after the end of a longstanding civil war in Sri Lanka, both Human Rights Watch and the International Crisis Group are suggesting there’s evidence that the Sri Lankan army brutalized men, women, and children in an attempt to end a 30-year war. In HRW’s case, they have photos that we don’t want to see. Sri Lanka’s government dismisses the claims. source
Dear immune system and major organs, please don’t kill Bret Michaels. He’s a perfectly good example of what a hair-rocker should be at his age – well-loved (especially on VH1 reality shows) and respected more now than he was during the height of his success. First it was his appendix. Then it was a brain hemorrhage. Now it’s a hole in his heart and a “warning” stroke. Can’t you just let this guy grow old without hitting him with three major health scares in a month? Seriously. Back off for 30 years or so. source

The drug, which kills 19,000 each year and sickens millions more, is infamous in hospitals, where it infected one Seattle hospital so badly in 1980 that they had to close the intensive-care and burn units and build new ones. Now it’s worse and more drug-resistant than it’s ever been. Scared? source
