It doesn’t even matter what they say after this half-quote: “Given the security issues with plugins in general and Google Chrome in particular…” everybody should download Google Chrome Frame now? Is that what you’re gonna tell us, Microsoft spokesperson, about the plugin that Google made to make Web developers’ lives easier because you made a sucky browser called Internet Explorer 6? OHHHHHHHH NO. “… Google Chrome Frame running as a plugin has doubled the attach area for malware and malicious scripts. This is not a risk we would recommend our friends and families take.” Shut up, Microsoft. You’re just fearmongering. source
We know what you’re thinking. Since when did we fawn over Microsoft products? To that, we say, “Watch the video at the link. It’s jaw-dropping.”

They’re going all in with WebOS. That’s what Palm CEO Jon Rubenstein, the former Apple guy who spearheaded the Pre, says. “We’ve made the decision to dedicate all future development resources to the evolution of webOS.” And honestly, while it sucks for Microsoft (it means Windows Mobile will lose even more marketplace traction), it’s a good move for Palm. And thank God. That injunction was cramping our style. Last month, a Texas court known for its little-guy-leaning decisions in patent cases ruled that Microsoft had to stop selling word over its use of an XML format patented by another company, i4i. MS was also fined $290m for the violation. Lest you think Word stop getting sold, an appeals court granted a stay of the Word ban. Microsoft is doing a happy dance for now. source
