Tech: The only three things we know about Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS console

  • one It’s portable like the Nintendo DS and uses 3D technology to present gaming experiences the iPhone or iPad can’t.
  • two You’ll be able to turn off
    the console’s 3D mode
    so as not to severely
    damage your stupid
    kid’s eyesight.
  • three It’s going to have really
    tough anti-piracy
    mechanisms to ensure
    people pay for their
    Mario fix. source

Tech: Sony cuts the price of the wrong Playstation console

  • $99 for the PS2. April 1st. Who cares? OK, OK, we know. The Playstation 2 was only the most popular console of all time, until recently. But it’s not like anyone cares that much about the thing anymore, not when there’s a console war going on, and they have a PS3 that costs $399, $150 more than its biggest competition. This is why you’re getting killed in the marketplace, dudes. source

Tech: Seriously, this OnLive video game console sounds awesome

  • good The powerful subscription-based device uses cloud computing. It’s slightly larger than an iPhone. And way tinier than a breadbox.
  • better Unlike previous console startups, they have big companies backing them, including Electronic Arts, Epic Games and THQ. Really good sign.
  • creepy Unfortunately, the guys selling it look kind of like creepy guys you wouldn’t let into your apartment. But you could say the same about Mario. source
