  • A month ago, this video put Microsoft in danger of (again) not looking like they were with it when it came to Windows 7, especially after the Vista debacle. Fortunately for Microsoft, it appears they won’t have another repeat of Windows Vista on their hands. Unfortunately, nobody thought to make a video like this to explain how simple it is to upgrade from Windows XP.source

Tech: We’re convinced Apple’s Magic Mouse is gratuitous nerd porn.

  • We know, we know. There have been a lot of tech-oriented articles on the site today. But that’s because there’s been a lot of really awesome tech toys on the radar today. But really, the biggest one is Apple’s new Magic Mouse, which combines the multitouch technology the company has been flaunting on the Macbooks for nearly a year with the Mighty Mouse, a mouse that sounded like a better idea than it actually was (because the tiny ball didn’t live up to the hype). But watching this video, we’re convinced that this device is purely pornographic. Magic Mouse? More like Magic Fingers.source

Tech: With net neutrality, could tiered internet make a comeback?

  • ISPs who can’t cap bandwidth may charge for traffic. With net neutrality looking more and more likely by the day, we may find ourselves returning to the days of paying for traffic based on usage. Consumers don’t want it, but companies like Time Warner and Comcast say that the cost of bandwidth, mixed with heavy usage of BitTorrent or popular video sites, may force it. We think that it’s probably going to happen, simply because they can’t fight the tide of Hulu forever. source
