World: Seen any of these people? They’re wanted for getting Bourne in Dubai

  • Top center: Was James Cameron prepping for a “True Lies” sequel after Ahnold gets out of office? Will Tom Arnold make an appearance?
  • Top right: Generic reporter for The Guardian. Who knows what he writes? It’s something.
  • Bottom left: Man, Ann Coulter has really let herself go.
  • Bottom 2nd-from-left: If that watermark were a tattoo, it’d be the coolest facial tattoo ever.

U.S.: Senator Bob Corker: OnStar saved my daughter’s car!

  • Sen. Bob Corker • Describing how OnStar helped him get his daughter Julia’s car back after it was jacked from her on the mean streets of D.C. Wednesday night. The Tennessee Republican chose to keep the $18-a-month service, which came in handy when it helped police find the suspects – and the vehicle – at a Taco Bell in Seat Pleasant, Maryland. Dudes, you’re supposed to run for the border, but you’re not supposed to just stop there! source

Politics: Rudy Giuliani knocks White House “over-concern” for 9/11 terrorists

  • Both in substance and reality, the war on terror in their point of view is over. There seems to be an over-concern with the rights of terrorists and a lack of concern with the rights of the public.
  • Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani • on the White House’s decision to try 9/11 terror suspects in New York City instead of elsewhere. Giuliani, of course, was the mayor during 9/11 and the initial recovery, and his words have a lot more heft in this conversation as a result. • source

Politics: On Muslims, terrorism, Fort Hood, and crazies.

  • Let’s not jump to conclusions. One of the biggest problems with the 24-hour news cycle is that a lot of misinformation gets out quickly. One of the SECOND biggest problems with the 24-hour news cycle is that many jump to conclusions, looking for an excuse to confirm their own biases and bigotry. Let’s step back a few moments and consider that A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST DIED. There will be time to consider all this stuff later, but for the love of God, let the story play out a little more before you decide to be a jerk and use this to push your agenda – no matter which side you’re on. Save that for later.
