Sports, U.S.: Mike Tyson’s daughter on life support after accident :(

  • A control cord from a treadmill was wrapped around her neck. The boxer’s 7-year-old daughter, Exodus, was discovered by his 4-year old son yesterday at Tyson’s Phoenix home. She was caught wrapped up in the cord of a treadmill machine console. Politics, U.S.: Nevada’s governor still holding a grudge against Obama

  • He’s still ticked about this dramabomb. A couple of months ago, Obama criticized companies going to Las Vegas to throw lavish corporate gatherings despite the fact that they were getting bailout money. Clearly, he was criticizing the companies, not the city. But that’s not enough for Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons, who declined a chance to meet the president based on something he said over three months ago. “I am not interested in a handshake and a hello from President Obama,” he said, “I am interested in an apology and plan to undo the damage the President did.” ME ANGRY! source

Biz, Offbeat: We appreciate this entrepreneur’s sentiment if not his product

  • I don’t think people realize how much you have to go through. They think, ‘I have a great idea and I’m going to make a lot of money off it.’ If you have a great idea, that’s only 5 percent of it.
  • Entrepreneur Robert Stribling • Who’s talking about a new style of juice straws that doesn’t leak all over you if you put it in too fast. He’s spent millions of dollars in research and development but has no takers for his snake oil. • source
