U.S.: Don’t expect Beau Biden to follow in his dad’s footsteps

  • He’s not running for his dad’s old Senate seat. Despite probably having a better chance than any other Democrat in Delaware of winning the seat, Vice President Joe Biden’s kid Beau has chosen to remain Delaware’s Attorney General, claiming he still has lots to do there. “Therefore I cannot and will not run for the United States Senate in 2010. I will run for re-election as attorney general,” said Beau. Let’s just hand the seat to the GOP now! source

World: It may not look like much, but that’s a LOT of sand flying around Iraq.

Hundreds are turning up in hospitals, the vice president cancelled his visit and people are generally freaking out over one of the biggest sandstorms in Iraq’s history. source

Politics: Bizarro Max Headroom: The GOP trashes on Palin, but Biden doesn’t.

  • Explosive chat This panel discussion is loaded with fireworks: On Fox News, top GOP guys Mike Huckabee and Karl Rove trash on Sarah Palin. They almost put the dagger in, but not quite.

U.S., World: Joe Biden: We’re still figuring out this Iran election ourselves

  • We don’t have all the details. It sure looks like the way they’re suppressing speech, the way they’re suppressing crowds, the way in which people are being treated, that there’s some real doubt about that.
  • Vice President Joe Biden • Speaking on “Meet the Press” about what’s happening in Iran. He says that the White House is taking a wait-and-see approach to the election. • source

Politics, U.S.: Joe Biden’s trashing on Obama’s teleprompter habit. LOL.

  • What am I gonna tell the president? I’m gonna tell him his teleprompter is broken. What will he do then?
  • Vice President Joe Biden • After one of his teleprompters fell down during a speech by Biden. Obama has been criticized by some politicians for being over-reliant on his teleprompter, even during minor speeches. Because, clearly, someone with the president’s oratorical skills shouldn’t be allowed to have a teleprompter. • source

U.S.: Joe Biden apparently revealed his secret hideout. *facepalm*

  • It’s supposed to keep him safe in the event of a terror attack. The Vice President, at a dinner party, admitted the existence of a secret bunker under the U.S. Naval Observatory. It’s believed to be Biden’s own personal batcave, designed to keep him safe if Batman (Obama) is in danger. At this point, we’re wondering if Robin would be the right guy to run the country. source
