Culture: Good way to wake up: Watch as Texas Stadium implodes

  • The Dallas Cowboys left this stadium a couple of years ago, but this iconic piece of football history will be missed. That said, it’s pretty awesome to see it torn down in a matter of seconds. Our society will not be judged on how quickly it builds something, but how quickly it tears that something down. So, we’re doing pretty good. source

Sports: Pacman Jones may get another Power Pellet from the Cowboys

  • Sure, he’s controversial, but they might give him another shot. In an interview Saturday night, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones asked a reporter, “Would you beat me up too bad if I brought back Adam?” Adam Pacman Jones, who was released in February, is infamous bordering on unusable for his off-the-field behavior. However, despite a six-game suspension last season, the Cowboys owner still might give him another shot, though he says it’s a long shot. Make up your mind, man. source

Sports: Someone’s getting back T.O. work (with the Buffalo Bills)

  • Terrell Owens • On agreeing to a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills just days after the Dallas Cowboys, uh, laid him off. Despite his myriad of personal problems, he remains one of the most consistent wide receivers in the NFL. • source

Sports: “Pacman” Jones is no longer a Cowboy

  • What happened? Jones, who has had a long history of personal troubles that led to his suspension from the league in 2007, had a rough-and-tumble season in 2008 in which he was suspended six games for an off-field fight. On the field, he was essentially useless to Dallas. source
