  • There are indications that al-Qaeda is planning to carry out an attack against a target inside of Sanaa, possibly our embassy. And what we do is to take every measure possible to ensure the safety of our diplomats and citizens abroad, so the decision was made to close the embassy.

U.S., World: The Danish cartoonist attacker almost attacked Hillary Clinton

  • She was reportedly the target of a foiled bus attack in Kenya. The suspect, who we can’t name due to Danish law, reportedly tried to attack the former Secretary of State during her 11-day tour of the country in September. He was sent back to Denmark due to lack of evidence. Now we can probably agree that something is up with this dude who was arrested. source

  • We find nothing in Montana Supreme Court precedent or Montana statutes indicating that physician aid in dying is against public policy.
  • A decision by the Montana Supreme Court • Regarding the fate of Robert Baxter, who wanted to die with a doctor’s aid. He later died on his own. In other words, assisted suicide is now legal in middle-of-nowhere Montana. Montana: It’s where people go to die (with a doctor’s help). source

U.S.: The TSA’s getting all annoying about bloggers posting documents

  • They’re saying it’s a security document but it was sent to every airport and airline. It was sent to Islamabad, to Riyadh and to Nigeria. So they’re looking for information about a security document sent to 10,000-plus people internationally. You can’t have a right to expect privacy after that.
  • Blogger Steven Frischling • On posting a document the TSA released about new airline security measures. He and another blogger were visited by the organization after posting the documents, subpoenas in tow. The documents weren’t classified, but the agency says security directives “are not for public disclosure.” Ugh, whatever guys. Go scan our shoes or something instead. source

U.S.: Albert Gonzalez: Meet the guy who stole lots of credit card numbers

  • See this guy over here? You hate him. This guy is named Albert Gonzalez, and he’s responsible for stealing 130 million credit card numbers, along with two Russian hackers who probably look like video game characters. If you’ve ever shopped at 7-Eleven, there’s a good chance your card was stolen by this guy. He pleaded guilty today. So remember. Hate him. You. source
