Politics: Max Headroom: Explain the UN’s relevance, U.S. ambassador!

  • What’s the point? U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice tries to explain in a no-BS fashion why the United Nations is more than just a spot for Libya’s leader to rant for hours.

  • Reveling in failureBill Kristol seems ready to pounce on Obama for his Olympic push. He compares him to George W. Bush, which just caused our brains to painfully implode. Uh … WHAT?

  • Trashing Glenn BeckJames Carville straight-up calls Glenn Beck nuts around 1:42. It’s an epic rant, one that makes us all warm and fuzzy inside. One of our favorite Carville rants ever.

Culture: T-Pain rips off “Autotune the News” (with their help)

  • There was always a ramshackle quality to the way that the kids from “Autotune the News” did their routine. Now, T-Pain’s doing his best impression of it on Kimmel. We originally thought it was a ripoff, but the Gregory Brothers helped them bring it to reality.
Update: @sclev pointed out that an earlier version of this post was inaccurate. Thanks, bro.

  • I remember feeling like I was the hardest ‘n*gga’ breathing. And I couldn’t wait to prove it. But let’s think. What are we really proving?? And proving what to who??
  • Nas • In an “Open Letter To Young Warriors In Chicago,” a lengthy note written to his still-growing peers (specifically gang members) in the Windy City. Music: Lady Gaga’s going on tour by herself – without Kanye West

  • It was a mutual decision. Kanye’s going to take some time off. But the good news is that I’m going on tour in a few weeks.
  • Lady Gaga • Shedding some light on she canceled her joint tour with Kanye West. Remember that post-Taylor-Swift episode of Jay Leno where Kanye looked like he was at the edge of oblivion the second that Jay brought up his mom? Yeah, it was probably that. The “Fame Kills” tour might’ve been good, Imma let you finish, but Kanye probably needs some time to regroup. • source

Biz: Daily Poll: On E. Coli and the dangers of eating meat

  • In today’s major E. Coli expose in the New York Times, we were stunned by this line: “A test by The Times found that the safe handling instructions are not enough to prevent the bacteria from spreading in the kitchen.” Which makes us feel like we need to pose this question.
