  • one Cedar Village needed stress tests, so having it bombarded by people is a big help.
  • two The Taco Bell on Grand River Ave. was going through a tough time and needed business.
  • three Tom Izzo hadn’t had an amazing season in a while. Everyone just needed a reminder.
  • four Enrollment was sagging, so how better to remind people to go to your school than winning a sport?

Sports: Oh, and Michigan State did its alumni proud today

  • Yay home team! Rah! Rah! The No. 2 Spartans toppled No. 1 Louisville to get to the Final Four. They totally ruined our bracket, but we couldn’t think of a better team to ruin our bracket. (Note to fans of ShortFormBlog: We went to Michigan State University, graduated from its journalism program and hold a strong affinity for the school, Panchero’s burritos, Gumby’s Pizza, McDonel Hall and Tom Izzo. In fact, we think Izzo is the Midwestern Coach K that you can’t find a good reason to hate, so you love him. That is all.) source

Sports: The NCAA Tourney’s biggest buster? Cleveland St. over Wake Forest.

  • We understand what the ’86 team did was important for our school. But now it’s time for a new chapter.
