Politics: Donald Trump infers Robert De Niro is an idiot. On what grounds?

  • I won’t mention names, but certain people in the news the last couple weeks, just, what are they doing? It’s crazy. They’re making statements about people that they don’t even back up. Go get the facts before you start saying things about people.
  • Robert De Niro • Saying the kind of “no shit, sherlock” thing that somebody somewhere needed to say about the political sphere in recent weeks. Unfortunately … Donald Trump inferred it was about him. On Fox and Friends today, Trump had this to say: “When I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we are not dealing with Albert Einstein. He can say what he wants but the fact is this guy (Obama) has not revealed his birth certificate.” WAIT. STOP A SECOND. Robert De Niro (rightly) wants people to back up what they say in the press, and Donald Trump says he’s an idiot?!? Screw it. We give up. source

Politics: Senate Democrats make moronic mistake with food-safety bill

  • The Senate knows the rule and should follow the rule and they should be cognizant of the rule. Nobody ought to be surprised by the rule. It is in the Constitution, and you have all been lectured and we have as well about reading the Constitution.
  • House Majority Whip (for the next month or so) Steny Hoyer • Scolding Senate Democrats for doing something really moronic. See, any revenue-raising bill has to originate in the House. Usually, the Senate gets around this by using a discarded, recombobulated House bill as a shell. But they didn’t do that this time with the food-safety bill they just passed, because they’re inept and want to let the GOP walk all over them like they’ve been doing the last two years. Heckuva job. Politics: When The Onion plays it subtle, Tea Partiers get fooled

  • You’d think that the Onion logo on this years-old video would hint to people that this is actually a satire. Or the fact that keeps repeating the word “classified.” Or the fact that he’s clearly talking about flesh-eating zombies. But no. In fact, this clip has been repeatedly posted on Facebook as if it’s actually real and confirming the Modern Tea Party’s greatest nightmare. Too subtle?

Culture: Protip: If you’re an Olympic runner, skip the male-enlargement drugs

  • Dear LaShawn Merritt: You’re an idiot. The pride of Portsmouth, the king of the 2008 Olympic track and field events, Merritt let all of this go because he used this sketchy penis-enhancement drug called ExtenZe. ExtenZe, by the way, is not the same as Enzyte, but does contain some substances banned the the International Olympic Committee. So now Merritt is banned for two years. What the heck, dude? You ruined your life over magic beans? source

Politics: Sarah Palin and her “little twittering thing”: She sounds stupid again!

  • Just you watch now, too, because somebody will be here with their little Twittering thing, and it’s going to be on the Internet any minute now.
  • Sarah Palin • Speaking at a Republican Party function yesterday. The former presidential candidate, who regularly takes to Facebook to complain about some stupid crap, is now a Twitter trending topic as a result of this. Will this be enough to ruin her career and presidential hopes? God, we hope so. source

Culture: John Mayer says a bunch of stupid crap, apologizes profusely

  • They don’t make rehab centers for being an a-hole.
  • John Mayer • Regarding his over-the-top interview with Playboy, which was something else. Dude talked about his sex life with Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, used the N-word (which he claims he tried, and failed, to intellectualize in the interview), and compared his penis to white supremacist David Duke. All in all, holy crap. At least he realizes it was a bad idea and is attempting to make amends for it. source

Politics: “Forgot he was black”? Chris Matthews stumbles on his words

  • Dude. Dude. Dude. Why do pundits think it’s a good idea to bring up Obama’s race? It’s clearly a boondoggle every time it happens. He’s trying to make a good point about how his race doesn’t matter, but it’s worded so poorly that it just makes him look like a massive moron. “I maybe shouldn’t talk about it, but I am.” Yeah, pretty much.

Politics: Let’s hope John Edwards’ “special” tape doesn’t get online. Idiot.

  • There was one tape that was marked ‘special.’ It’s a sex tape of Rielle and John Edwards made just a couple of months before the Iowa caucuses.
  • Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young • Who covered up the presidential candidate’s affair, on what he happened to find in the house. Wait wait wait, John Edwards recorded a sex tape? And he’s a politician? What the hell is wrong with him? This guy was supposed to be president according to John Edwards. Young also reveals that Edwards tried to convince Rielle Hunter to get an abortion. Shocking. No wonder why he’s separated from Elizabeth. Who would want to keep a scumbag like this around anyway? source
