  • Julien Duret • Regarding a crazy rescue he played a part in over the weekend, where he jumped into NYC’s East River to save Bridget Sheridan, a toddler who had fallen in. And just as quickly as he rescued her (but fortunately not before the New York Daily News caught video of his rescue), he disappeared. Dude was on vacation and it was his last day in NYC. He didn’t realize he was a hero until he got back to France. But he seemed modest about his feat. source

U.S.: How a 9-year-old prevented his mom’s car from getting jacked

  • normal A lady left her kids in the car when she went to the store. She left the keys in the ignition.
  • bad A random guy decided to attempt to steal the vehicle – with the kids still inside the car!
  • great A super-brave 9-year-old took the keys and fought back. He got punched in the face. source

U.S.: The pilot in yesterday’s crash is the wind beneath your wings

  • That pilot has to be commended. He steered that plane so well. I just can’t believe how well he did. We’re all alive because of him.
