If it wasn’t for those pesky ki … oh wait. An interstate bank robber known for his striking resemblance to Shaggy from “Scooby Doo” was caught yesterday. Michael A. Kincade, 29, was arrested in a Red Lobster parking lot in Longmont, Colorado. Kincade is accused of 17 bank robberies in four different states. His driver was also arrested. Scooby remains at large. source
A Sprint executive died Friday night when a boulder fell off a Colorado mountain and landed on his car.
A report by KMBC • About the death of 45-year-old Thomas Murphy, whose family had a really crappy vacation this weekend. How often do boulders fall onto vehicles, and how often do they kill Sprint executives? Yikes. One of Murphy’s three children was also injured, but the other two (along with Murphy’s wife Jennifer) were unhurt. • source
They’re the first newly-born lynxes in Colorado’s wilderness in a decade. Soon, they’ll be ruthless predators ready to claw your face in – just like us!

Hopefully the people that I hurt can in some way gain closure from that, and I myself don’t know what I can do short of leaving them alone and not being in their lives, to make that happen.
Richard Strandlof • Who, under the moniker Rick Duncan, claimed he was in the Pentagon on 9/11, survived a roadside bomb attack in Iraq, started a political lobbying group in Colorado, and – finally – got nailed on a minor traffic charge, which unraveled the whole stack of lies. He claims he suffers from an underdiagnosed mental illness. What’s it called, Richard? Liegnosis? • source
“ILVTOFU” is free speech, they say. Sometimes, the American Civil Liberties Union gets a bad rap for taking on inconsequential things in court. This is one of them. The ACLU has chosen to go after the Colorado Department of Revenue for denials of vanity plate applications to see if there are any free speech laws being broken. We hope there are, just to see veins burst on the foreheads of people who don’t like the ACLU. source
I feel almost pulled there to see how everyone is doing and where everyone is. A lot of people have made their peace with it, but it doesn’t mean they’re forgetting it.
Kristi Mohrbacher • A 26-year-old former student at Columbine High School, on the legacy the shooting has left the community around the Denver-area school. Among other things, the shootings by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12, wounded 23, led to a rash of copycat crimes and inspired a soon-to-be-released film. For many Gen-Yers, this moment will make you feel old, by the way – it’s been a decade since the moment that defined your high school lives. • source
