A control cord from a treadmill was wrapped around her neck. The boxer’s 7-year-old daughter, Exodus, was discovered by his 4-year old son yesterday at Tyson’s Phoenix home. She was caught wrapped up in the cord of a treadmill machine console. The scene was apparently quite scary and the family is requesting thoughts and prayers. “Those are the things that stay with you in your career,” said Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix P.D. “We always hope for a miracle — not to have the worst happen to a child.” source
He’s still ticked about this dramabomb. A couple of months ago, Obama criticized companies going to Las Vegas to throw lavish corporate gatherings despite the fact that they were getting bailout money. Clearly, he was criticizing the companies, not the city. But that’s not enough for Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons, who declined a chance to meet the president based on something he said over three months ago. “I am not interested in a handshake and a hello from President Obama,” he said, “I am interested in an apology and plan to undo the damage the President did.” ME ANGRY! source
I disagree with Dick Cheney. Waterboarding is a matter of debate but it’s no longer an issue. Debate around memos and waterboarding don’t make us less safe.
Tom Ridge • The first Secretary of Homeland Security, on the debate over waterboarding and interrogation techniques. So, Colin Powell disagrees with former veep Dick Cheney – not so surprising. Tom Ridge disagreeing – kind of surprising. Hm. • source
