  • This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill.
  • Rep. Joe Wilson • On his yelling of “Liar” during the president’s speech. He apologized later, saying “While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable.” Well, of course they were! You’re the top trending topic on Twitter. U.S.: Near the finish line: These cats strike fear in our hearts

  • Meet the uber-evil kitty Kitty, owned by friend of the site David Putney, is perhaps the scariest, most violent cat you’ll ever meet. According to Putney, she was getting agitated because we took so long to actually get her up. Hopefully she won’t claw our faces now.

U.S.: Felines in California, tell your legislator not to pass Senate Bill 250

  • The law would require spaying and neutering of most pets. State Sen. Dean Florez is attempting to push through the law, called The Pet Responsibility Act. The law would require licenses for pets who wanted to keep their junk unaltered. All they want to do is reproduce! Why do you want to take that away from them, Dean? Anyway, it didn’t pass in its first go-round but will have a second coming up soon. If you wanna stay on the prowl, guys, you best show some solidarity! source

Offbeat: So, @ohmgee gave us so many cat photos that we couldn’t decide

  • Martin Gee, a talented illustrator friend of ours, loves his cat Citrus (shown eating and baring his teeth), and he takes the kind of cat photos that make us glad we’re not diabetic. We put up nearly all of the photos he gave us (which also include uber-poofy orange cat Riley and white/grey cat Zoe), because we couldn’t decide.
