Tech: Now you feel old: Super Mario Bros. turns 25 today

With its iconic imagery (which is still often a target of parody and admiration today) and its trendsetting gameplay, pretty much any game with even a minor dash of depth to it owes something to “Super Mario Bros.” for proving it was possible. Still one of our favorite things about life in general. source

But Fox’s people stand by the comments, which included his belief that it was “shocking that someone would think it acceptable to recreate the acts of the Taliban against British soldiers.” For EA’s part, they realized the game might spark a little controversy. source

But a couple of years ago, they decided to go full retro again with Mega Man 9, and now with the new Mega Man 10, they’ve decided to create a commercial to match. We’re gonna eat some Legend of Zelda cereal now. source
