Tech: Douchebags who use Foursquare upset about Foursquare’s accuracy

  • Total FAIL, guys. Who are you to judge what your customers like and don’t like?
  • Get Satisfaction commenter “valerie” • After earning the “douchebag” badge using the Foursquare service. She wasn’t very happy about the moniker, and many other users complained too. Then TechCrunch noticed. While the quickly-growing service isn’t budging now, they’re likely to feel pressure to change it as a result of their growing popularity. They also made a deal with Bravo recently. That said, if we earn the badge, we’d wear it like a badge of honor. We think more companies need to call their users douchebags. source

Culture: YES! It’s time for the Richard Heene Larry King interview!

  • He claims he pleaded guilty so his wife wasn’t deported. Oh Larry, we knew you wouldn’t let us down! In an interview to run on CNN Friday, the Balloon Boy’s father, Richard Heene, explains that he isn’t guilty but in fact was trying to protect his wife. Because he’s a douchebag. “Quite honestly,” said Larimer County, Colorado, Sheriff Jim Alderden, “I’m shocked that he would make such statements.” So are we. But he’s a reality TV wannabe. Politics: Max Headroom: How did our political discourse turn into mush?

  • ACORN scam artists? The two people behind the ACORN prostitution video make themselves sound like the biggest douchebags ever, based on this Fox News video. Even if ACORN screwed up, these guys were TRYING to get them to screw up.

  • Tea party insanityNow, we’re not saying that all conservative activists are like those shown in this video, but the first two minutes of this video are really eye opening as to how far on the fringe many of these activists really are. Yikes.

  • Axelrod: They’re wrongTop Obama adviser David Axelrod says flatly that these conservative activists overtaking Washington are simply “wrong” on the health care debate. We wouldn’t go that far. Their voices should be a part of this debate, too.

As you probably don’t know, we’ve spent the last few months largely avoiding the saga of the Jon and Kate Gosselin divorce, which has played out on “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” But we can’t anymore. Jon Gosselin has just doucheified himself so much that we have to say something. Dude was on ABC, saying that he can’t sit on a sofa with “someone right now that I despise.” You have eight kids with your wife.
