TLC cancels “Kate Plus 8”; do you think Mady cried?

The network may continue to check in with the family — famously torn apart after Kate Gosselin divorced her husband Jon, with the reality TV fallout that followed — through televised specials. Thank goodness, because we were getting worried.

Pennsylvania Rep. Thomas Murt could hurt Kate Gosselin’s meal ticket. The state representative is trying to get the state’s attorney general on the case, saying that while child labor laws allow children to work in movies, television is off-limits. “We can all agree that as the number of film and television productions in Pennsylvania increases, the protection of children involved in those productions should be of paramount importance,” Murt said. He’s open to amending the law if it’s so desired. source

It has nothing to with the camera. Blaming it on the show is not right. This is going to sound mean, but if the media is so concerned about the kids, then stop covering them. Then the kids won’t read it and nobody will know about it.
Former “Partridge Family” member/reality TV star Danny Bonaduce • Talking about the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” saga. Bonaduce says it’s not the reality TV cameras at fault with the relationship – it’s the cheating and general douchebaggery. With Jon blocking access to the family home from TLC cameras (because he’s a douchebag), it’s quite possible the show may not come back. We can only hope. • source

What a despicable human being. As you probably don’t know, we’ve spent the last few months largely avoiding the saga of the Jon and Kate Gosselin divorce, which has played out on “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” But we can’t anymore. Jon Gosselin has just doucheified himself so much that we have to say something. Dude was on ABC, saying that he can’t sit on a sofa with “someone right now that I despise.” You have eight kids with your wife. You probably shouldn’t be going out all the time, wearing Ed Hardy like you just got out of an Ibiza washing machine. You should be trying to make it work, bro. Did you hire Chris Brown’s PR team? source

Jay Leno • In his final “Tonight Show” appearance. He got a nice friendly dig in at his network, noting that “I’m going to be going to a secluded spot where no one can find me – NBC prime time.” On a side note, in case you’re wondering, we’ve been avoiding the Jon and Kate scandal on purpose – because we don’t give a crap. • source
