yes Tequila was performing at a Juggalo festival in Illinois when she was attacked by the crowd. She suffered cuts in the insane incident. We want a Faygo all of a sudden.
no Snooki can’t trademark her name. Why? See, the creators of the kids’ book “Adventures of Snooky” grabbed the name for a cartoon cat way back in 2004.
It makes me feel a lot better, and a lot safer for everyone. Hopefully, it’s him.
Barbara Motley-Embry • Regading the reported arrest of a man tied to a series of stabbings mostly in Flint, Michigan. Motley-Embry’s son David Motley was the first victim of the purported serial killer, who also has ties to attacks in Leesburg, Va. and Toledo, Ohio. All but two of the victims in the attacks were black, leading many to believe that there is a strong racial motivation to the case. Here’s hoping they got their man – this guy was reportedly about to board a flight to Israel. source
As with any other highly coveted consumer product, especially from Apple, the demand for the iPhone isn’t entirely rational. The improvement are incremental, like a faster processor, sharper screen and a very limited video chat capability.
ValleyWag blogger Ryan Tate • Downplaying the good things about the iPhone 4 in an attempt to broadly criticize Apple. (This from a guy who got into a pretty stupid war of words with Steve Jobs a few weeks back.) Dudes getting paychecks from Nick Denton’s company have been writing Apple hit pieces like this for weeks. (Going so far, in one case of one article’s headline, to blame Apple for problem that was clearly AT&T’s fault.) While Apple’s new iPhone deserves some of the criticism it’s getting (this is valid, for example), there’s no need to show us 40 videos of iPhone 4 users having the same problem. All you’re doing is trying to get back at a company you pissed off by leaking information about one of their products a couple of months early. They’re just hit pieces designed to cut down Apple, based less on actual reasons and more on vendettas. source
This bear attacked an old guy at Yellowstone, so authorities took to a helicopter and shot it to death. It was the first bear mauling around the park in 25 years.

It’s pretty egregious that AT&T would have it for such a device that probably has known exploit candidates (attack code) on, say, the Russian (underground) markets.
Escher “Weev” Auernheimer of Goatse Security • Talking about how his group uncovered a major flaw with AT&T’s security mechanism, which led to Gawker posting about the results. Why did they go to Gawker and not AT&T? “We did want not engage directly with AT&T in case they tried to serve us (an injunction) or something,” he said. How did they do it? It was a simple brute-force attack that required no hacking. And people offended about the group’s hilarious name? “If someone is offended to where they can’t deal with us … then they’re a douche bag and we don’t want to be employed by them anyway.” A fun read. source
He’s a top-ranking dude in Afghanistan. It’s still not confirmed, but the U.S. believes that Mustafa Abu al-Yazid was a victim of a missile strike that hit over the last couple of weeks. Al-Qaeda is talking about the dude like he was killed. “His death will only be a severe curse by his life upon the infidels,” a member of the group wrote on a radical Web site. source
The President expressed deep regret at the loss of life in today’s incident, and concern for the wounded, many of whom are being treated in Israeli hospitals. The President also expressed the importance of learning all the facts and circumstances around this morning’s tragic events as soon as possible.
A statement from the White House • Regarding today’s insane flotilla situation in Israel. Obama has to respect the diplomatically-important relationship with Israel, but it’s kinda tough because they keep doing stupid crap like killing humanitarians. There are a lot of sides to this story, so it’s good to take them all in, but it’s clear that Israel had to get on that boat somehow. They weren’t there for tea and strumpets. They weren’t there to show off their new iPads. They weren’t there to give high-fives to the hundreds of people on board that boat. Even if the ship had weapons and the humanitarians were ready for a fight, it wasn’t like they were about to invade Gaza, either. Why not scold Israel, Obama, and tell them they screwed up? Because they clearly screwed up. source
