That’s right, Obama just said that some of the insurance companies (who he didn’t name) are spending money to try to kill the plan. The Department of Justice put their two cents into the most anti-consumer case of our time, one in which regular person Jammie Thomas-Rasset was ordered to pay a huge sum to the RIAA. What did they say? Here’s what they submitted to court: “Defendant’s suggestion that the actual harm can be measured to the ‘tune of $1.29 for each of the 24 songs’ … ignores the potential multiplying effect of peer-to-peer file-sharing.” Wait, what? source

The authors also note that the attack has a limited timeframe. In a city of 500,000, you have about three hours to prevent the level of zombies from topping the level of humans. And, boy, that pamphlet was a bag of crazy. He’s a crackpot, but this time he crossed the line. And we’re concerned that it’s actually getting traction. source

  • Our take LaRouche affiliates with the Democrats, but they don’t want him. This is why. This pamphlet argues for racism, hate, and the worst corners of our society. And based on this Google Image Search, it’s getting far too much currency. On the plus side, he’s almost 90. He’ll be dead soon, and hopefully this bile will go away along with him. source

  • There’s t-shirts bearing this image already. There’s a history of Pitt doing good things for the city – convincing Frank Gehry to design houses for Hurricane Katrina victims. And there’s (tongue-in-cheek) grassroots support for the dude. He doesn’t seem interested, though. But he seems amused by the idea, though.source
