I think this is going to be the protest of the summer. It’s really picking up a lot of energy.
Cindy Sheehan • On her latest move to draw attention to the Iraq war … another protest of ex-President Bush’s Texas home. Gee, that’s creative. Not that the war doesn’t deserve the attention, but Bush isn’t exactly in a position to fix the mess he created now, is he? Did you pull a newspaper out of 2005 or something and read it wrong? • source
The images offer a disturbingly accurate view of a person’s body underneath clothing, even allowing Transportation Security Administration officials to distinguish gender or see the sweat on a person’s back. Americans should not be required to expose their bodies in this manner in order to fly.
Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz • Arguing against the use of whole-body imaging as a part of airport security. I believe the people have seen what happened to me. They have seen that the protesters were trying to hurt me and smash the car.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva • Who barely made it out of a tense situation alive. Protesters have been calling for a dissolution of the government for days. Despite the scene, Thai troops – who are out and about, with tanks in tow – have not directly taken on the protesters. Abhisit says he will do his best to bring peace to the situation and restore order. • source
