Was Thomas backed into a corner or in a bad mood when he said those things? I don’t know, but ripping Thomas is not my nature.

What happened? Jones, who has had a long history of personal troubles that led to his suspension from the league in 2007, had a rough-and-tumble season in 2008 in which he was suspended six games for an off-field fight. On the field, he was essentially useless to Dallas. source
