This Brooklyn apartment looks kinda nice until you realize it’s 178 square feet. And at $944 a month, it’s probably the best apartment you can get for the price. source

  • We’re not going out today. We had a few things we wanted to knock off our Christmas list, but there’s no way Julius will be able to get out of this mess without being super-rusted. U.S.: That sucks: An apartment complex in Brooklyn fell. Everyone heard it.

Four were injured when the building fell, and nearby buildings had to be evacuated. Worst part? The owners knew it had structural problems. source

Offbeat: An architect trapped in the closet makes the best of it

  • $150 a month for an eco-friendly hole in the wall. Sergio Santos of Delray Beach, Fla. has designed lots of big buildings such as high-rises, but his most impressive work may be the 5 1/2 by 14 feet room he’s living in after getting laid off in January. He’s designed the space in such a way that it’s multi-functional, architecturally attractive and interesting enough that the local newspaper did a story about it.
