World: Ahmadinejad is all ready to gloat about his victory in Iran

  • This election was actually a referendum. The Iranian nation were the victors and the enemies, despite their … plots of a soft toppling of the system, failed and couldn’t reach their aims.
  • Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad • Talking about his confirmed victory in Iran, while getting rips in at the opposition which fought tooth and nail over the contested results. It doesn’t matter if it’s still disputed and questioned by millions of people – he won! • source

World: Miracle in the Yemen plane crash: A child recovered, alive

  • Most of the other victims haven’t been found yet. Unlike the Air France crash in the Atlantic Ocean, where there was no hope of survivors, Yemenia Airways Flight 626, which crashed in the Indian Ocean, has at least one survivor. Five other bodies have been found so far. The plane the passengers were riding in, the Airbus A310-300, had a number of faults when it was inspected in 2007 in France, but hadn’t been checked since. Fingers crossed that they find more victims alive. source

Culture: TMZ sez Michael Jackson’s spokesman, his dad, is getting nothing

  • The reason? Joe Jackson beat him as a child. Michael Jackson was the king of the dysfunctional childhood, becoming famous and having to deal with very rough family dynamics at an early age. According to his will, he never forgot it. He left his will to his mom, children and charity, but apparently didn’t leave his father, Joe, a red cent. Perhaps Michael wouldn’t want his dad speaking for him. source

Culture: Note to Twitter: Rick Astley didn’t die in a Berlin hotel room

  • Known for his 80’s pop hit “Never Gonna Give You Up,” the 43-year-old Rick Astley has been pronounced dead today. Astley’s body was found at the Angleterre Hotel in Berlin after an ambulance responded to an emergency call from his hotel room.
