World: Canadian guy wins the lottery, collects his millions, gets thrown in jail

  • 2009 Ontario, Canada resident Barry Shell won nearly $4.4 million in the lottery jackpot. Obviously, he went to collect his money as soon as he could. Some would say he was pretty lucky.
  • 2003 Unfortunately, he failed to appear in court 6 years ago and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The cops nabbed him right after he got his check and threw him in jail. *Not* so lucky. source
