Music: Dear Brazilian band Deadly Fate: “Galpao 29” not how to win fans

  • The band has been the subject of a seemingly self-induced Twitter trending topic since last night. Do you like metal? How about spam that completely eats up Twitter? Deadly Fate has both in spades. And despite their strategy to overload the Twitter trending topics with tweets mentioning their MySpace page, they don’t seem to have gained any fans since last night, when they started trending. Wonder why. source

  • Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human
  • Kanye West’s girlfriend, Amber Rose • Discussing on Twitter how her oft-discussed boyfriend is, in fact, still alive. So why’s “RIP Kanye West” trending?   • For more than three years, Gilad Shalit has been held hostage. It is believed he is being held somewhere in Southern Gaza. Since his capture, his parents have received three handwritten letters from him.
  • A petition letter from the Jewish Agency for Israel • Regarding the status of Gilad Shalit, an Israeli prisoner of war who has been prevented contact with his family over three years. This was part of a coordinated campaign to get Shalit’s hashtag to become one of Twitter’s trending topics, and it worked. He’s now only below Sen. Ted Kennedy, plus we learned something new.
