Look, white guy rap is one thing, but Asher Roth at least had flow when he did this. Then again, we take it back. We shouldn’t hate, because we remember what it was like to chill in the dorms like this. These dudes look like they’re just having fun. Still, though, fun ≠ flow. (Oh yeah, we wanna give a big up to their janitor, Domingo.)
It was a clear black night, a clear white moon, and Warren G was at the Boys & Girls Club accepting an award. What happened, man? We thought you were gangsta!

May we just say that while this guy has a better flow than Boostalk, Chuggo (video NSFW) or Bangs (though in Bangs’ defense, he sounds like a sweet, sincere guy), Hi Caliber is probably as lunkheaded. If not moreso. (Hat Tip Andrew Sullivan)
Priority Records just made him top priority. Everybody loves Snoop Dogg, right? (Well, besides the dogg thing, but today he’s an honorary cat.) Well, Priority Records, a gangsta rap label which released classic West Coast hip-hop from the likes of NWA, Eazy-E, Ice Cube and Westside Connection, is making him creative chairman of the label. Just in time for their 25th anniversary, Priority will put him in charge of a series of releases to commemorate the label’s history. Not bad, Niggarachi. source

Jay-Z • Regarding Grizzly Bear specifically (he was recently spotted at a show with Beyonce) and indie rock in general, and how what they’re doing inspires rap. He says that if they can break really big (well, Grizzly Bear did go top-ten on the Billboards earlier this year) “it will force hip-hop to fight to make better music.” • source
Now Web-focused, with a quarterly magazine. Yesterday, Uptown Media announced that they had agreed to take on both iconic hip-hop rag Vibe Magazine and its Web site. First on the agenda? Site redesign! By the end of the year, they hope to have another print product on the shelves, this time a quarterly publication with a smaller circulation. Vibe stopped printing after a 40% decline in ads bled them dry earlier this year. source
Ice-T says it wasn’t personal, nor does he have anything against old Macs. But the screen was busted, so he had to kill it. His tool of choice? A claw hammer. His workbench? A trash can. He’s still reading from the book of Iceberg Slim, we see.source
