U.S.: 150 miles later, these pilots are looking kind of silly

  • They were in a heated discussion over airline policy and they lost situational awareness.
  • The National Transportation Safety Board • Describing how a Northwest Airlines plane managed to fly 150 miles away from the runway it was supposed to land last night. The plane, headed to Minneapolis, was supposed to land at its destination at 8:01 p.m., but instead landed at 9:15 p.m. To be a fly on the wall of that plane after those idiots realized what they did. • source

Culture: Whatever happened to Soupy Sales? Well, he’s dead.

  • Guess that solves that problem. Soupy Sales, born Milton Supman, died at 83. An iconic television figure from the ’50s through the ’70s, he took more than 20,000 pies to the face during his career.
