  • It’s definitely meant to be edgy. We wanted to provoke people. Most lawyer advertising is unremarkable and not memorable. I would sit at home and see these ads asking if you’re injured, blah, blah, blah. There was no branding involved. We have a brand.

Wolfe, formerly in-house counsel at a large Miami firm, has grabbed eyeballs with the site, which connects lawyers with people who want to sue other people. Lawyers aren’t sure what to think.   • With the state that the girl was in after the incident, I really felt that it would go towards making her life a lot better over the next couple of years.

He was offered a £10,000 reward for leading to the rapist’s conviction, but he deferred it to the victim. Class act.   • I have a strong feeling that the subject of evolution is beautiful without the excuse of creationists needing to be bashed.

U.S.: Obama’s plan for gays in the military: Ask. Tell. (If you want.)

  • The president plans to end the controversial Clinton-era policy. Speaking at the Human Rights Campaign tonight, Obama renewed his pledge to the gay community. “Do not doubt the direction we are heading and the destination we will reach,” he said. Many were supportive, but others noted that, while warm and fuzzy, he didn’t bring up specifics in the speech. source
