  • The media laws in this country increasingly place newspapers in a Kafkaesque world in which we cannot tell the public anything about information which is being suppressed, nor the proceedings which suppress it.

The gag pushed for by the Carter-Ruck law firm, was lifted just a short time ago. Reminder: The U.K. doesn’t have the same freedom of press as the U.S., so stuff like this occasionally happens. • source

  • It’s definitely meant to be edgy. We wanted to provoke people. Most lawyer advertising is unremarkable and not memorable. I would sit at home and see these ads asking if you’re injured, blah, blah, blah. There was no branding involved. We have a brand.

Wolfe, formerly in-house counsel at a large Miami firm, has grabbed eyeballs with the site, which connects lawyers with people who want to sue other people. Lawyers aren’t sure what to think. We just hope we’re not answer to that question his site asks. • source
