Just kidding. In all seriousness, he told Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization to start producing fuel for a research reactor in Tehran. The West is gonna love that.

yes This weekend, Iran made a bold-faced claim that the they were finally close to an agreement with the United Nations on their nuclear program. About time.
no The U.S. and Germany laughed at the thought. “I don’t have the sense we are close to an agreement,” Defense Secretary Robert Gates rebuffed. source
They launched a rocket with live animals into space. Not content to be 70 years behind the U.S. when it comes to nuclear technology, the Middle Eastern country has gladly chosen to be 50 years behind the U.S. (and Russia!) when it comes to space exploration. Rats, turtles and worms were the lucky guinea pigs for the Kavoshgar-3 endeavor, which could lead to a newfound bolstering of its ballistic missile program. source
The U.S. calls the allegation “absurd” or something. The death of Massoud Ali Mohammadi, who was killed when a bomb on a motorcycle blew up outside his home, has Iran using fighting words. Mohammadi was a particle physics professor at top-ranked Tehran University. The attack was portrayed by one Iranian government official as “signs of evilness by the triangle of the Zionist regime, America and their mercenaries in Iran.” Which sounds like a really complicated way to say, “We hate the U.S.!” source
Western governments have until the end of the month to take Iran’s offer. Remember how the U.S. tried really hard to convince Iran to agree to a nuclear plan that limited their ability to create nuclear weapons? And how Iran pussyfooted around with them? Well, after ignoring the offer and missing a deadline, now Iran’s playing hardball, setting a counter-offer and saying the West has to agree or they’ll just do what they want. Great. source
That’s what his family is saying. Mousavi, the slain nephew of Mir Hossein Mousavi, had his body taken from a local hospital after he was killed yesterday. “My brother’s body was taken away from the hospital and we cannot find it,” Mousavi’s brother, Seyed Reza Mousavi, said. “We cannot have a funeral before we find the body.” Also worth noting: Andrew Sullivan has a pretty interesting explanation of why Ali Mousavi’s martyrdom matters. source
What has happened to this religious system that it orders the killing of innocent people during the holy day of Ashura?
Iranian reformist candidate Mehdi Karroubi • Asking a pretty damn obvious question in the wake of one of the most violent and deadly days of protest since the Iranian election. It’s gotten to the point that aides to Mir Hussein Mousavi (the guy who nearly won the presidential election) and Ibrahim Yazdi (who leads the banned Iran Freedom Movement) have been arrested. Shameful. Mousavi’s own nephew, Ali Mousavi, died in the protests yesterday, creating a Neda-like flash point. source
We strongly condemn the violent and unjust suppression of civilians in Iran seeking to exercise their universal rights. Hope and history are on the side of those who peacefully seek their universal rights, and so is the United States.
White House National Security Council spokesman Mike Hammer • Condemning the latest violent response to protests in Iran today. Four people died as a result of the protests by freedom-wanting, tech-savvy Iranians. This, by the way, is the first time people have actually died during protests since the original Iran election protests in June, which makes them all the more depressing. source
