I wanted to get back at Natalee’s family. Her parents have been making my life tough for five years.
Joran Van der Sloot • Admitting, via a Dutch newspaper, that he tried to extort Natalee Holloway’s parent’s in an attempt to get back at them. He has been charged with wire fraud in a case involving the Holloway family, $250,000 and a lot of BS. Also, a Peruvian court ruled that he is not being held unlawfully for his charges – he’s the prime suspect in a murder case in that country. source

Dude’s had a history of being unreliable with confessions. So, let’s see – she was in your room when it happened, there’s all sorts of insane evidence suggesting you killed her, you’re currently in custody, yet you’re going to rescind your confession. Yeah, let’s see how that one works out for you, buddy. source

Joran van deer Sloot (reportedly) • In the confession to the murder in Peru in which he is the main suspect. How did Flores intrude into his life? She looked up his name on the Internet. The guy has a pretty rough Google profile, doesn’t he? As a result of the confession, by the way, search teams have been organized in Aruba just in case this guy has any further things to say about the Natalee Holloway case. source

My wife typed ‘Joran van der Sloot’ into Google and started screaming for me to see. I couldn’t believe it. How could it be that guy?
Enrique Flores • On finding out that Joran van der Sloot, the now-confessed suspect in his daughter’s murder, was THAT guy. Van der Sloot, who was also the main suspect in the Natalee Holloway case, admitted to killing Stephany Flores tonight. Despite the nature of the crime, Peru’s criminal system isn’t nearly as harsh as the American system and the maximum sentence he can face is 35 years in prison. source

Well, that was a bit unexpected. Ray Gosling, the host of BBC show “Inside Out,” claimed that he killed his very sick AIDS-stricken gay partner on last night’s show. And now police are investigating his claims, which he laid out in great detail. Assisted suicide is illegal in the U.K., by the way. source

This trial is full of suprises. First, the guy has to confess to being involved in the Mumbai attacks. (I know, right? Who does that.) And now, the judge has put a gag order on his latest testimony, meaning all the awesome journalists over there can’t write about it and we can’t read about it. No fair. source
