Politics: Colin Powell fights back against Cheney, Limbaugh criticism

  • I would like to point out that in the course of my 50 years of voting for presidents, I have voted for the person I thought was best qualified at that time to lead the nation. Last year, I thought it was President Barack Obama. For the previous 20 years, I voted solidly for Republican candidates.

Powell goes further to say that the party needs to be more inclusive if it wants to find its way – which goes against many things Cheney and Limbaugh are arguing for, BTW. • source

Politics, U.S.: Dick Cheney once again gets himself in the GOP’s chatter

  • If I had to choose in terms of being a Republican, I’d go with Rush Limbaugh. My take on it was Colin had already left the party. I didn’t know he was still a Republican.

Cheney and Powell have worked closely together over the years but have become more estranged since the first George W. Bush administration, a point accented by Powell’s support of Obama in the last election. Cheney’s had a recent history of this, by the way. • source

Politics: Rush Limbaugh throws monkey poo at Colin Powell. RUSH MAD!

  • What Colin Powell needs to do is close the loop and become a Democrat instead of claiming to be a Republican interested in reforming the Republican Party.
