World: Russian rapper respect: Our favorite Vladimir Putin story EVER!

  • It would have been cool to record a joint track with Vladimir Putin because he is a legendary man and our idol. Let’s make so much noise in his honour that the whole world can hear.
  • Rapper Zhigan, in a rap (presumably in Russian, due to the odd rhyme structure) • Describing his adoration for Vladimir Putin, the most loved human being on planet Russia. The Russian president presented awards to Zhigan and other rappers on MuzTV’s “Battle for Respect,” a rap-battle show. And you know M.C. Poot just brought it HARD. “I do not think that ‘top-rock’ or ‘down-rock’ breakdance technique is compatible with alcohol or drugs,” he said, to cheers, despite the fact that what he said was incredibly square in any language. • source

Tech: If you see a PC-hawking BlueHippo headed your way, run away fast

  • The hippo is cute, but the company’s a scam. You’ve probably seen the infomercials for BlueHippo on late-night TV, offering to finance your computer on layaway if you’re broke. Well, the FTC did, too, and they suspected it was a scam, something the company proved in years of dealings. After a court case last year, the company only got more brazen, only shipping one computer out of the 35,000 ordered. And that one was apparently by accident. When the FTC declares a company a “money pit,” stay away. source
