Culture: Corey Haim’s death blamed on … wait for it … prescription drug ring (?!)

  • Corey Haim’s death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription-drug abuse. This problem is increasingly linked to criminal organizations, like the illegal and massive prescription-drug ring under investigation.
  • California Attorney General (and gubernatorial candidate) Jerry Brown • Regarding the cause of Haim’s death. Despite the autopsy having left evidence of this unconnected as of yet, an unauthorized prescription note in Haim’s name was found during an unrelated investigation on prescription drug fraud – meaning, even if it wasn’t the cause (still possible), he was illegally getting his vicodin and other drugs with forged doctor’s notes. Is it us, or is Jerry Brown trying to win political points with this quote? source

Ah, Vicodin. What can we say about you that hasn’t already been said? When we were laid up that one time because of back problems, you pulled through like a champ. Too bad the FDA says you’re not good for our liver and is probably going to ban you. We know. Life’s not fair sometimes. source

  • Peace & prosperity to Percocet Percocet
And … Percocet. We aren’t as cool with you, bro, but we do think you’re a pretty spiffy way to take the pain away from any sort of physical pain drama. But, alas – like Vicodin – you’re a mix of acetaminophen with another drug. We’d totally base an addiction on you. source
