Offbeat: Alternate plot line to “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure” involves puppy

  • Remember this scene right here? It’s a pretty awesome scene from one of our favorite movies. Now, imagine that Mr. Herman was a German college student. And that, instead of (immediately after this scene) dancing on a bar stool to “Tequila,” he threw a puppy at them. Then he got away on a bulldozer. And then caused a huge traffic jam. Well, stop imagining, because it actually happened. Minus Pee-Wee. source

U.S.: More dangerous: A guy with a bomb or a guy with a puppy?

  • bomb The University of South Florida campus had two bizarre incidents on the campus today. The first featured a guy with a backpack that reportedly had a bomb in it. He was quickly arrested.
  • puppy The second incident, which happened not long after the first one, featured a guy who was carrying a knife and a puppy – while wearing a cowboy hat! We’re more scared of the puppy. source

Offbeat, U.S.: Michelle Obama: Pissed because Bo gets her up at 5:15 a.m.

  • Even though the kids are supposed to do a lot of the work, I’m still up at 5:15 a.m. taking my dog out. So for everyone who has a child asking for a puppy – you have to want the dog.
  • First lady Michelle Obama • Talking, with a degree of rage, about the new addition to her daily routine. It’s shaped like a Portuguese water dog named Bo. We’re guessing she doesn’t walk the dog wearing anything sleeveless. • source
