Music: Well, duh: Anti-Weezer campaign creator getting death threats
- I’ve actually received death threats over this, believe it or not. Some people have told me they wish I would get AIDS. This whole campaign, I fully admit that it’s silly.
- Weezer hater James Burns • Regarding the unpopularity of his campaign to have Weezer break up. Beyond the fact that he’s only managed to raise a pretty impressive $1,200 of his $10 million goal. Which is kinda lame, right? As for the band itself, drummer Pat Wilson is taking it all in stride: “If they can make it 20, we’ll do the ‘deluxe breakup’!” Burns might even become a fan after a comment like that.
