Offbeat: Cocaine isn’t candy, as one stupid criminal quickly learned

  • cause A Newark guy hides cocaine in his son’s coat (idiot), saying it was candy (o_O) and then sends the kid to daycare (YOU MORON!)
  • effect The 4-year-old does exactly what you’d expect a 4-year-old with candy would do: He handed it out. Three were hospitalized. source

Offbeat: To nerd and corrupt: Did a Geek Squad worker abuse his power?

They give them badges? Really? A New Joisey man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly using his authority to fix computers at high prices to instead convince a prostitute to perform sexual acts with him. No matter the outcome, 25-year-old Jay Mora of Newark is going to have a hard time living this one down. source
