World: Middle East update: What’s happening in Bahrain, Yemen and Libya?
- Bahrain Out of nowhere today, police launched an major operation to weed opposition protesters out of a Manama square. Three were killed and as many as 231 wounded.
- Yemen Protests continued to flare in the country, as anti-government protesters finally fought back against the often-violent pro-government protesters.
- Libya Protests in the country have expanded to many different cities, and some are reporting that ten people have been killed, though that has not been confirmed.
- » Journalists still in danger: Reporting from Bahrain, ABC News reporter Miguel Marquez found himself in the middle of the worst of it. “I just got beat rather badly by a gang of thugs,” he said in a phone call, as he was attempting to hide from his attackers.
