U.S.: Saddest story of the day: Deer escapes lions at National Zoo, still dies
- This story isn’t nearly as scary as the woman who got bitten by a polar bear after jumping in the water, but in a lot of ways, it’s more dramatic and sad. This deer accidentally found itself in the lion enclosure at the National Zoo in D.C. and had a heck of a time getting away (as the video above attests). It succeeded eventually, but died anyway due to injuries it sustained in the escape. :(source
