Politics: Conservatives turn Florida into new Republican party battleground

  • The only question now is what kind of Republican will Florida send to Washington next year: a pro-growth Republican with a record of fiscal conservatism or a big-government Republican with a record of tax increases?
  • Club for Growth President Chris Chocola • Describing his group’s decision to support ex-state lawmaker Marco Rubio over former governor Charlie Crist in next year’s Senate race. (Crist has the Republican Party’s support, by the way.) With the move, they’re attempting to remove so-called RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) from office. Because this move worked out for them so well in New York’s 23rd District. • source
