Sports: Kentucky coach faces reckless homicide charges in player’s death
- One of his players died after collapsing. High school football coach David Jason Stinson of Louisville, Ky. will be arraigned in the heat-related death of 15-year-old Max Gilpin. Gilpin, an offensive lineman, died three days after collapsing during a late-summer practice. Stinson, who’s been re-assigned to non-coaching and non-teaching duties in the wake of the incident, has many supporters among the student body, and proclaims his innocence. source
