- This guy. This typewriter. This guy created some of the most well-known shows of the ’70s and ’80s, but you probably know him from one of the many variations on this logo. Stephen J. Cannell, who died yesterday at 69, was behind “The Rockford Files,” “The A-Team,” “21 Jump Street” and “Wiseguy,” among other shows. He knew how to throw a piece of paper from a typewriter.
