Politics: Could Herman Cain’s next stop be Fox News commentator?

  • What might be next for Herman Cain? Because I have no doubt that there is a TV-radio future if you wanted one.
  • Sean Hannity • Discussing what Herman Cain should do next, now that he’s suspended his presidential campaign. Hannity had Cain on his show Thursday night, his first TV appearance since he suspended his campaign amidst allegations of a long-term sexual affair about a week ago. He has since endorsed Newt Gingrichsource

Politics: Lame: Rapper Common now in the same boat as William Ayers

  • If this was somebody who used the same type of rhetoric about violence against President Obama I would be against it. . . . This is inappropriate for a President and he goes back to his radical roots again and again and again. Ayers, Wright, Pfleger.
  • Sean Hannity • Saying a bunch of stupid crap about how Common (a pro-Obama rapper) is a bad influence and shouldn’t visit the White House and stuff. We don’t have much to add to this, other than this: SHUT UP YOU AREN’T A RAP FAN AND YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW WHO THIS GUY WAS UNTIL YOU WERE HANDED A CUE CARD WITH HIS NAME ON IT BEFORE THE SEGMENT. Also, you can’t criticize Common’s poetic license until you take back this approval of Ted Nugent’s non-poetic license, brah. source

Culture: The odd couple: Elton John sang at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding

  • somehow, Limbaugh has been married four times. The radio-show gabber drew a diverse set of guests for his marriage to Kathryn Rogers over the weekend, including James Carville, Fred Thompson and Sean Hannity (OK, maybe not), but the most diverse guest was the musical act. Elton John was reportedly paid $1 million to sing “The Bitch is Back” to the audience. Considering his show’s theme music, you’d expect him to grab The Pretenders. But no. source

Politics: Max Headroom: Rachel Maddow totally biased towards the iPad

  • frum the heart Conservative commentator David Frum isn’t cut from the same cloth as the Rush Limbaughs of the world, and he makes that clear with this rip on Limbaugh and Fox News. They don’t work for Republicans, the Republicans work for them.
  • sarcasm = dangerous At the end of this clip from last week, Sean Hannity threw the unbelievable phrase “Tim McVeigh wannabes” in reference to the Tea Party. And the Tea Partiers cheered. The left was like, whoa. But Raw Story reports that it was sarcasm.
  • feel like making love On Friday, rubber-faced personality machine Rachel Maddow brought Xeni Jardin from Boing Boing onto her show to talk about how attracted they collectively are to the iPad. Maddow is probably caressing one in her arms right now.

Politics: Sean Hannity’s cold on how hot our planet is this year

  • You can also look it up, this is one of the coldest years in history, this past year.
  • Sean Hannity • Completely getting his facts wrong on how warm it is this year. Media Matters (which is admittedly a liberal site, BTW) points out that Hannity has repeatedly said that this is one of the coldest years on record – facts not backed up at all by the NOAA, NASA and Britain’s Met Office. Data from all three says that it’s one of the warmest years on record. We wonder what crow tastes like. source

Politics: Sean Hannity apologizes to The Daily Show?!?! Whoa.

  • It was an inadvertent mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. So Mr. Stewart, you were right. We apologize. But by the way, I wanna thank you and all your writers for watching.
  • Sean Hannity • Speaking of this video we posted last night, where Jon Stewart and the Daily Show essentially proved that Hannity ran old footage of a rally to seemingly make last week’s health care rally seem bigger. While Hannity claims that it was “inadvertent,” he apologized anyway. Don’t see this often, kids. Savor it. • source

Politics: Sean Hannity’s looking the fool thanks to Jon Stewart

  • Do you see what Jon sees? That’s right, Fox News totally lied about the size of last Thursday’s anti-health-care rally on “Hannity.” So on last night’s “Daily Show,” Stewart dressed down Hannity for trying to inflate the size of the crowd using footage of the much-larger 9/12 rally. Good job, hoser. source

Politics: OK, last bit about Obama’s Peace Prize. But this one’s a doozy.

  • [Yasser Arafat] got the Nobel Peace Prize. Excuse me, a terrorist got the Nobel Peace Prize. Some people deservedly so. You know who else deserved it? Ronald Reagan. And frankly, I would’ve given it to George Bush.
  • Sean Hannity • Making an argument in favor of George W. Bush getting the Nobel Peace Prize. We … we … don’t know what to say. Bravo Sean, you just left us unable to type. • source

Politics: Waterboarding for charity: Keith Olbermann gives Mancow props

  • $10,000 Amount Olbermann gave the charity Veterans of Valor after radio host Mancow was waterboarded for 10 seconds – it’s like a dunk tank for terrorism
  • $0 Amount Sean Hannity, who Olbermann initially offered the charity donation for, got after chickening out and never mentioning waterboarding again source
